Bookography #6

Image
Bookography is a post created by Kristina from  Kristina's World of Books . Where you can combine both of my very favorite things in the world. Photography & Books ;) So grab a camera and do your thing. You don't have to be a professional or anything like that. Just share your love of books through a picture and that's it ;) -She usually posts them on wednesdays~ So make sure you stop by her blog and share the love! Kristina told me that this week, her picture would be about the place or chair or anywhere we read...AND, sadly, I don't have a chair, I simply read in my room, in bed, because that's the only place where either my sisters or parents don't bug me for reading too much.  Lately it hasn't been so good because it's been SO HOT in here...BUT I LOVE nature, I love taking pictures of nature and I love even more the opportunity to READ in between-among nature. So, last year I went on a trip, mountain-as if living in one wasn't en

-As she stopped before him, he tilted his head back and the corner of his mouth quirked up. A flash of emotion sparked in his eyes transforming him from cute guy next door to sexy and dangerous 'anything is possible with me' guy.- Why In the heavens did I EVER put this book on hold?! I'm in love, I'm terrified and I'm completely enthralled with this story! This is the first Jinn(Genie) book I have ever read in my entire life. I'm so happy to have finally finished it! Ari is so completely broken in the beginning I found myself completely in love with her character. We watch her develop and transform in this strong yet vulnerable girl, who after learning who she really is, is faced with decisions she would have never even considered before! Jai is one sexy hecks of a Jinn...completely mysterious and dark and just HOT...quite literally. "Uh...why is there a half-naked hot guy in my living room?" The story takes you to a world both cold an

-review- Spellcaster by Cara Lynn Shultz

I was on top of the world when I got approved for a galley of this book, I first read Spellcaster on NG and even though I haven't been able to get a finished copy I needed not to worry because Shultz made it impossible not to remember ^_^ Now I'll just stop rambling and leave you with my thoughts on the book; I really don't know what happened. It started out soo good and awesome and full of Brendan and halfway through...I just couldn't continue...   I hate when this happens and I really think it had less to do with the book and more with me getting sick right in the middle of my reading...   I really can't wait to get a finished copy and give it a second shot!   There IS something dark and dangerous lurking and waiting for Emma and Brendan to let their guards down. Right when everything was supposed to be perfect it strikes leaving Emma to make decisions she rather not make & Brendan trying his hardest to let Em be independent. Angelique, I didn'

Cover Reveal! Ashen Winter by Mike Mullin

I don't usually do this kind of thing BUT I so have to make an exception for this book. Ashfall was one of my favorite 2011 books and being able to read an advanced copy on Netgalley didn't help, as I read it on May and the book released on October.  Then I had and still am waiting the year between Ashfall and Ashen Winter...it's a long long lonely wait... Enough of me.  Check out the amazing cover of Ashen Winter-Ashfall book #2- Isn't it AWESOME it portrays so much and if I'm right it has a LOT to do with the book itself.  Here's the description of the book (Slight SPOILERS for book #1) ~ It's been over six months since the eruption of the Yellowstone supervolcano. Alex and Darla have been staying with Alex's relatives, trying to cope with the new reality of the primitive world so vividly portrayed in Ashfall, the first book in this series. It's also been six months of waiting for Alex's parents to return from Iowa. Alex and

Just share your love of books through a picture and that's it ;) -She usually posts them on wednesdays~ So make sure you stop by her blog and share the love! Today's Bookography is based on my favorite books from one of my favorite authors of all time. - My heart feels full and empty  with all of the beginnings and endings .- The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater I chose this phrase because the books in my photo showcases Beginning and Endings. Shiver was the first book on her Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy and Forever the last. The Scorpio Races was a stand alone book so the concept falls solely on it too. -Excerpt taken from TSC ARC- -I had planned to take pictures of all her pri

-reread thoughts- My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent

This is the sound of my... frustration.... ~AN->Again, I am not reviewing as I would any other book.  This books hold a special place in my heart~ Oh God. This I-don't-know-what-number-of-reread time of reading...was a long and suffering one. This is officially my LEAST favorite book of the series...this means of course that all are my favorites and that I love them all but I love this one less than the others. I reread this book having in mind what author Rachel Vincent once said about this book.  I wanted so desperately to keep in mind what she said, that this book is a pivotal one... But in the end... I just couldn't stop thinking that this is exactly were everything goes downward for Kaylee and everybody near her. Listing My Reasons of Freaking-Out * I have to say this is the book in which I LOVE NASH the most. He's so protective and loving and caring and it shows that he really just wants only what's best for Kaylee and tries to keep her on tra

IMM  is hosted by  The Story Siren  I looove love her blog! So you really should check it out! I made a VLOG finally! I'm sorry I sound so awful and blue and look like crap.  I'm sorry I didn't get to gush more about Leah Clifford 's A Touch Morbid release party but really! I saw ERIKA (I misspelled it the first time I wrote this post) >.< lol. And can't remember the name of the guy but he was nice too! I saw Az so many times I think my eyes rolled back and stopped working.  I saw Aimée Carter  (Author of The Goddess Test) and Courtney A. Moulton  (Author of Angelfire) were there too! Even mamma Clifford whom I met once before in the most embarrassing conditions and Lauren DeStefano  (Author of Wither) dropped by the chat too...don't know if she was actually there though. It was amazing! Amazing! So I thank Leah Clifford for asking if it'd be okay to live stream the tea party. And the book store for making it happen! Claslan has

-review- Chain Reaction by Simone Elkeles

-Alex's mom, sitting in the front row, has her head bent as if she's watching an ant on the ground and it's the most interesting thing she's ever seen. I think I just saw her crossing herself.- Wow, long time no see dear Simone Elkeles's books!  This is the final book on the Perfect Chemistry trilogy and though I read it a while back I hadn't been in any mood to write a review. Until now. I'll make it short and simple. I think this book had the best writing from the 3. Came even closer to how we Latinos relly are. And what better way to take a peek at us than from Luis Fuentes himself and Nikki *_* I am such a stinker for the Fuentes brothers is not even funny. I love how they all want to show off just the rough edges of their personalities and little bro Luis couldn't help but follow the steps of older brothers Carlos and Alex. And can I just say I LOVE LOVE the first chapters from Luis' POV? lol They were absolutely hilarious. Oh God. I

It was taken a while ago by either one of our english teachers at the Academy or by a classmate.  I didn't want to edit anything because I just really really thought it'd be really fun to share exactly how it is with our english book under the eraser and everything. We both, Michelle(My favorite friend in class up until the time she abandoned me and changed schedules) and I always needed it for our horrific mistakes on english class PLUS...I've been reading a lot of posts by authors and it seems March

IMM  is hosted by  The Story Siren  I looove love her blog! So you really should check it out! Yey! Got a book in the mail this week! I'm so excited because this book is completely different from any other book I've ever read but I knew my mom would love it. And even though she doesn't know much english I know that she would appreciate me telling her the story...Yes, she LOVES to hear from the books I read. Funny, she's into hearing the YA stories I read but not actually into reading them. LOL My mom's special! Anyway, enough with the rambling... Here's the book I got this week! Trieste by Dasa Drndic Goodreads doesn't have a description or blurb from the book, but I know it has a lot of history and war in it... I have to thank Misty from Bookaholics Book Club  she's the one that got this book in her mail box a couple of months ago and said that since it wasn't her kind of read she'd give it to whoever wanted it...So *____

-"Saying I never thought about it would be a lie, but it doesn't change how I feel. Ana, you make me ache in places that aren't even physical."- When I received a copy as a christmas present last year I literally cried. I couldn't believe I was going to be able to read the book whose cover I married~digitally~and whose author I've stalked even before the cover of the book was released. Now why, you ask, did I take so long to review this book. Let me tell you...it has been HARD to come up with even some remote ideas and thoughts to share with you this day... Just from the cover I wanted it to be perfect and I never actually wanted to read the description or blurb.  So let me tell you my thoughts on this book. -...he played the most amazing thing my ears had ever heard. Like waves on a lakeshore, and wind through trees. There were lightning strikes, thunder, and pattering rain. Heat and anger, and honey sweetness. I'd never heard this music befo
