-bookish thoughts- Prisoner of Night by J. R. Ward

Image
- goodreads - *reading progress* February 12, 2019 – Finished Reading February 11, 2019 –   72.0%  "Back to one of my fave worlds" February 11, 2019 – Started Reading January 15, 2019 – Shelved as:  to-read January 14, 2019 – Shelved Great in between to go through while waiting for The Savior.  As always I'm left wanting more from characters I didn't even know I wanted to know more of XD Sweet, bloody and healing. This is story is, in my personal opinion, for everyone who is a fan of the Black Dagger Brotherhood world. And don't get me started on the teaser for the next one! It was just the icing on this absolutely yummy cake. Loved Theo and Ahmare I wish and hope to see more of them in the upcoming books. 5/5

-mini review- Dearest Ivie by J. R. Ward (BDB #15.5)

Image
- goodreads - "Do you like what you see?" He said in a quiet voice This was such such an awesome and amazing and cute addition to the BDB series!! I can not describe how much I cried and felt and stressed and Idk throughout the whole book. It was simply lovely. Now I just need to get all caught up with the BDLegacy ones and wait for the next BDB installment which is coming in like 2 weeks or more hehehe. Silas was exactly the kind of male Ivie needed and viceversa. They were purrfect for each other and their love was sweet, fast and dreamy. Can’t wait to see more of them in coming books. Who is Silas’s lost sibling though? I really hope we find out in The Thief. "Hell yeah, you can pay. This was your idea and I'm not blowing part of my rent money this month just to prove I'm a feminist. I can do that for free by demanding respect and getting it." 10 (special rating for over-the-top-I'll-never-get-over-this book) = I cried for t

-review- Eleventh Grave In Moonlight by Darynda Jones

Image
- goodreads - (Spoiler Alert if you haven't read the previous books in the series) -"When Shawn went to you, a weak, corrupted slut––" "Slut?" "––we knew what we had to do." "I think slut is a tad strong." "See, you aren't just any corrupted. You are his corrupted. His concubine. The Dark One's. The demon from hell." "Promiscuous, maybe." She kneeled again. "We were never after you." "Wanton." "We were after the abomination..."- This book was so good... Until it wasn't... which was about the time it finished... Why would someone end a book in the way that this book ended is beyond me. I was happy! I was in my happy place with my happy ending if somewhat bittersweet but I WAS HAPPY! I was a happy person people!!!!!! And then Darynda just unceremoniously ripped out my heart, stomped on it, kicked it, and then proceeded to tear it apart... slowly...

-review/thoughts- The Curse Of Tenth Grave by Darynda Jones

Another excellent addition to the series guys! What am I going to do when it finishes?! - goodreads - “What other secrets are you hiding behind those sparkling eyes?" He grinned. “You have my heart. That’s where I hide all my secrets.” “Then I guess I don’t have the key.” “Are you kidding? You forged the key.” Could it be??? Could this really be one of my faves of the Charley-Reyes-Cookie saga?  Surely it can't but then... we did get A LOT OF REYES on this one and I'm all for that.  And can we address the elephant in the room right off the batt?? Like really, seriously. WHO OF YOU SAW THAT SIBLING THING COMING? Who in their right mind would've put two and two together. Math is definitely not my thing, just like Charley, proven by how I couldn't even add up those numbers.  And BEEP I saw you girl and I imagined you beautiful! Raise their hands all the ones rooting for a  spin off  for Beep and you-know-who (meeeeeeeeeee) “I

-review- The Beast by J.R. Ward

Image
- goodreads - (Read September 2016) Even though I'd pre-ordered this book so it could be all signed and be a surprise for my sis I hadn't had the chance to even hold it until recently. And now, after I talked and talked and talked away the time so I would put it off as long as I could. I could talk no more. And here I am. Having just finished yet another awesome book by J.R.Ward I am now heartbroken because I have no more book to read. And okay the legacy second book is coming soon but it's not at all like reading about the brothers. Anyway. Delivered exactly what was expected. My heart melted and hardened and then expanded and then did some stop-restart stuff because Mary and Rhage's story (continuation) was/is not for the faint of heart. Specially with EVERYTHING else going on in the book. I can't believe I just read ONE book. I feel like I've read multiples of books and have zero complaints about it. I cannot wait for what's to come

-Review- The Dirt On Ninth Grave by Darynda Jones

Image
- Goodreads - Amazon - The Book Depository - **Spoiler alert for all personas who have not read any of the 8 previous Charley Davidson books and a wake up call for you to do so. Yesterday!!** I am dead. I'm a walking dead. The walking dead. The ones that roam the earth. Without a heart. Without a soul. Because they were both taken away by perfectly written characters, characters such as Reyes and Charley or Janey or whatever you want to call her. Fictional characters, non-breathing characters but perfect and awesome nonetheless. So there you go, that's my story. The one of how I became a zombie while reading a book. How one little thing destroyed me so much... Because you know what? He's loved her for 1000 and one. ------------- -- "So, why are you living in a motel?" I felt a slight bristle come off him. "I was... seeing someone." A soft gasp escaped me. No idea why that would surprise me. "Was?" "S

Darynda Jones Made Me Do It...

This, I meant this. The fact that it's been over 6 months since I last posted kind of gives you an idea of how crazy my life has been not that I haven't been reading... But something about a loved one being sick and dealing with your own stuff it just... It hasn't been as easy or as manageable as I thought it'd be BUT that is SO not why I'm here for. I've been reading and reviewing books for years now but somewhere in between I lost track, missed the train and lost myself so I figured if I couldn't manage to post it here on my blog the least I could do is submitting my reviews for all those eARCs that Netgalley miraculously continues to approve to me XD (And it sure has been my salvation when I couldn't get my hands on some new releases last year.) So that's what I've been doing, reading and reviewing on netgalley only and then track my reads through goodreads ... But then the unthinkable happened... I finally caught up with all the C

Wish To Be Reading... #4 (Paranormal Romance)

Image
Romance Edition Another Friday, another wishful read. Oh my GOD!!! I think it's been over a year since the book I want to be reading today was released, I tried to keep up with how the books were being released but by the time I found out about the series 4 were already out so it was easy. What I didn't expect was my instant addiction to the characters, the story, and the author's writing *^* It's just so, enjoyable and incredible, I'm instantly transported to wherever the story is taking place never mind that I've never been there in my life lol. Anyway, I caught up but when I found out this was the LAST book in the series I lost it and refused (up until now... still going strong though) to read it. I've been lost in denial ever since, reading and rereading the previous books for all I am worth hehehehe. So... I really wish I could be able to read (but can't make myself do it even after getting multiple copies...) ~~~~~

Wish To Be Reading... #2

Image
Another Friday, another wishful read. This time I'm in a really paranormal/urban fantasy romance kind of mood. I'm a moody reader I'm craving (rather strongly) anything that contains mythical/magical creatures and steamy romance scenes here and there... While I own some of the books in the series, I don't own them all and haven't been able to continue reading them... I stopped at book 5. I'm in need of a reread to fall in love all over again with the captivating characters of Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series. But! I WISH I would've already done that and caught up so I could read... Goodreads -  Amazon First of all, the COVER is so completely gorgeous! I love cool yet at the same time dark colored book covers. Second, after what happened in the previous 2 books I can't even fathom how the author will come up with yet more torture for my booknerd feels. **Book description might contain spoilers from the previous books, if yo

-BookPics Is Curious- Traveling Books?

Image
So, I've been thinking. If you love, like, and can travel and are a booklover just like most of us, how do you pick which books are coming on the trip with you and which aren't. (Remember we're talking printed editions here since I know eBook readers are kind of on demand right now I still like to take with me one or 6 hehehe depending on the period of time I'm going to be away from home. Anyway, PRINTED books people ^_^ ) I'm a stinker for rereads. If there is one thing that keeps me from reading new books is the fact that I can't get over my book hangovers... Specially if it's a book that's the last in a series or if it's a standalone book or idk, I have tons of reasons why I read and read the same book over and over again and never get tired of it. So, if I love rereading books, how in the world am I expected to pick books to take with me for a long period of time away from home? Simple, I don't take them. Out of all the books t

-Cover Reveal + Giveaway- Reap by Christina Channelle

Yay!! Another day another smile another cover to be revealed!!  This time we're going to the paranormal of the romance. Shall we? Reap by Christina Channelle Publication date: October 11th, 2013 Genre: YA Paranormal Romance Synopsis: Foreign, or rather unfamiliar, would be the word I would use to describe how I felt. Faintly, I could hear the glimmer of voices surrounding me in this dark haze, caressing my ears like skin against silk. I felt like I was in a cocoon of sorts, protectively enveloped, quietly drifting in some far-off place. I wanted to stay that way forever. But we all know that what you want never really seems to happen in the real world. Something’s not right in Mia’s head. The first thing is that her name isn’t Mia. In fact, she has no clue what her name is—who she is. All that she knows is that she’s not like the ones who found her: Dante with his kind blue eyes, Amy with her child-like demeanor, James with his questioning gaze.
