~review +18~ Lover Mine by J. R. Ward

-Was it possible to fall in love with someone twice, he wondered dimly.-

Oh my GOD.
What is it with this woman and amazing characters and stories?
Seriously, life or reading as it is... Cannot get any better than this... Or so I thought until I read the book after this one and then the one after that one...

This book centers in the story of John Mathew <- Cute name ;) and Xhex...

I think that both these characters are the ones who have, somehow, suffered the most in the most short time span.

I bawled my eyes and heart out while reading this book.
There's no world outside it when you start it. And there will definitely be difficult to come back down from the high-out-of-reality-out-of-body experience that this read'll give you.

Both main characters are fierce, loyal, heartbreakingly broken, breathtakingly beautiful in their own way.
And all the forces that come up against them seemed impossible to defeat until I remembered my mantra, 'Love's the greatest weapon of all,' seriously.

If there has ever, EVER, ever been a time in your life when you've felt down, alone, sad... Like life couldn't get any worse than how it is right now with you?
Read this book and think again.

These 2 show you not only that you're strong, but also... That you are beautiful inside and out, no matter what other people say. They also show you that you can let your guard down... That you can trust in someone else... You have the right to love and be loved. That fighting isn't always the way... that slow and easy sometimes work too... That words won't always express feelings... That the eyes speak before any other part of your body does...

Xhex and John's story is no piece of cake, is not a happy ride, is not an easy ride... But it promises to show you how 2 completely polar opposites, how one gesture, one touch, one look, one decision, can change your life forever... And lead you to the one and only person who will forever have your back.

John ruined me for men...
And I'm so very glad he did.

About the love scenes? It was perfection. I think, even though we also get to see more background and more about the lives of all the Brotherhood again... The love scenes were my favorites... Not because of what they did it but because of THEM, I cared so much for the both of them... I always rooted for them, always wanted them to be happy, to be, finally, at peace...
They loved each other even before they realized it. And that is what made them all the more real for me.

My weaknesses,
The cover depicts the whole book exactly as it is... You don't need a face to picture John but the chest... oh that chest speaks volumes for itself alone... And the arms around it? That's just how fierce and is a pure raw picture describing exactly what Xhex is... Always at the ready to defend what's hers.

Before I go... I couldn't stop myself, I just had to share this to lighten the whole review hehe

"I would have left my boxers on but I don't wear them under my leathers."
