-review *adult*- Babysitting Love by J. L. Beck

Image
- goodreads - Let me tell you how my reading status went down via goodreads updates; March 12, 2018 – Finished Reading February 6, 2018 –    30.0%  "This is full of poop Hilarious poop that no one would convince me was actually written until I saw it for myself. Well, color me convinced. Really really convinced." February 1, 2018 – Shelved February 1, 2018 – Started Reading Annnnnnnd. That was pretty much it. For some reason I was on a single dad/baby kick and the cover drew me in, I'd had this book for practically forever on my kindle and I thought "why not?" but after only a chapter in I knew, I just KNEW hahahaha that it'd be more of a ridiculous -fun kind of read. I appreciate the author's effort though, but if this happens “Prepare yourself for the best orgasm you’ve ever had,” I mumbled against her pussy before sucking her clit into my mouth. Shortly after meeting your boss WITH said boss. I just ...

-thoughts, banned book- The Wild by K. Webster

Image
- goodreads - FYI It was an adventure trying to get this book. I love reading, I love reading sexy times and I rarely shy away from dark romances with rough sexy times. What I rarely read are books that stretch the limits of my comfort zone until I am not even sure those limits are within sight. The Wild by K. Webster was one of those books. It was good it was bad and it was a complete guilty pleasure of a read if only because I'd already been a fan of the author's writing long before I found out about this book, my awesome friend April from the blog Rad Babes Read  brought it to my attention and well... the rest is history. - Nipping and sucking. Desperation in a kiss.- This book isn't for everyone, I got that I respected that just as I hoped people would respect it but apparently that was asking for too much. But worry not, it's good in a twisted kind of way that'll leave you asking yourself if you've morals at all at some point, while pant...

-review- Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor

Image
- Goodreads - "A dream dirty and bruised is better than no dream at all." I've read sad books... Believe me, I have. Books so sad they would keep me from reading another book for months, the sadness lingering long after I finished the book. But I've never quite read a book as sad as Days of Blood and Starlight. This book was so sad I wish they would've invented a new word solely to describe this book. Oh, there were amazing things as well but the sad predominated throughout the entirety of it. It was like a living thing that wouldn't go away even now that I've finished it. And surprisingly I'm okay with it, if only for the fact that I've always liked heartbreak in books just to better enjoy and take in the un-heartbreaking, just as the author would put it. I started this book expecting one thing but what I got was another thing completely and it blew my mind. I loved it so so so very much that I suffered even more for it. ...

-review- The Gathering Dark (Shadow & Bone) by Leigh Bardugo

Image
- Goodreads - A moment later the boy whispered, "I don't think you're ugly." "Shhhh!" the girl hissed. But hidden by the deep shadows of the cupboard, she smiled. Two absolutely awesome books in a row, first ACOTAR and now this one. Surely, my life is on the right path lol. I had forgotten how amazingly creative most of YA books are. I first started this book a year ago or so, but I thought it was some kind of history/set in the past-book that would be incredibly hard to read... well it wasn't and it was just too easy. Leigh Bardugo's (name love) word art had the power to completely transport me to another world in a matter of seconds. I stopped being on my living room's couch drinking some lukewarm water and instead I was sailing through the Fold or I was in a really hot place watching Alina try to practice and draw her power to no avail, or I was freezing beside Mal when he took first watch after tracking Alina down. I lov...

-review- A Court of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas

Image
- Goodreads - "Don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy." Just as Feyre ... was that how it's spelled?? Mmmm But, just as she couldn't possibly imagine herself painting those colors, those courts, those eyes, that skin, that night, that water... I'll never be able to write a review that would make this book justice. What it made me feel, how far inside my mind it's been ingrained, how incredibly amazing the story and writing flowed, the way my heart constricted from pain or expanded from joy, how I cried or how I laughed, the sweet torture of not having the other books at the ready to devour, I truly truly never in my wildest bookish-dreams thought I'd like a book with kingdoms and magic involved as much as I liked this. So that's why I've been rendered completely speechless and thus wordless to even attempt a review. I savor red every single word I read. Really I did. I can't believe I waited so long...

-review- The Chosen by J. R. Ward

Image
- Goodreads - Why Why does it feel like the latest books that JRWard has published haven't been long enough? I want more... I NEED more. More of the brothers of the bastards. Of everything and everyone involved in this world! I love how a lot is happening, a lot is going on throughout this book and my heart was almost always beating miles and miles an hour but I wouldn't have it any other way. The way Xcor spoke up and up and up. The way he loved. The way he fought. The way he touched. The way he cooked. The way he hugged. The way he kissed. I loved everything. And Layla. Sweet not-so-lost-anymore Layla. I'm so happy she gets her story. I enjoyed her voice and her passion. That strength that I always knew she had but she saw come out of nowhere? BEST PART EVER! I thoroughly enjoyed P & L those babies are too precious. And overall I, simply put, devoured Ward's writing. Because yet again she delivered even more than I had hoped for. In t...

-review- The Beast by J.R. Ward

Image
- goodreads - (Read September 2016) Even though I'd pre-ordered this book so it could be all signed and be a surprise for my sis I hadn't had the chance to even hold it until recently. And now, after I talked and talked and talked away the time so I would put it off as long as I could. I could talk no more. And here I am. Having just finished yet another awesome book by J.R.Ward I am now heartbroken because I have no more book to read. And okay the legacy second book is coming soon but it's not at all like reading about the brothers. Anyway. Delivered exactly what was expected. My heart melted and hardened and then expanded and then did some stop-restart stuff because Mary and Rhage's story (continuation) was/is not for the faint of heart. Specially with EVERYTHING else going on in the book. I can't believe I just read ONE book. I feel like I've read multiples of books and have zero complaints about it. I cannot wait for what's to come ...

-review- This Is War Baby by K. Webster

Image
- Goodreads - "Because the queen always protects the king." And then she whispers the last part. "Even from himself." I've never been happier about the fact that I rarely read newly released books as I am right now. But boy am I happy. I love the name of the series. I love the name of him and her. I love and hate everything right now and I'm so incredibly ready to know what in the world will happen in the end. As in the end of the series! This is a really dark book at the beginning that turns a bit brighter as the story progresses but only a little brighter. There's a lot of scenes that happen that can potentially trigger some episodes so beware of it. A lot of physical and psychological abuse. A lot of mental illness involved. But aside from that. I am really shocked at how much I liked this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. From the writing, even if there are some typos and editing errors here and there, to how the story flowed and you n...

-Review- It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover

Image
- goodreads - amazon - [... He is. He asked for you. And I know you're with my brother and I'm with child, but can we please just take a moment to silently admire the perfection that is that man?] (Before the review let me tell you a bit about my reading experience as a whole...Also, I kinda was too emotional so there's a bit of cursing *something I rarely do* so beware.) I've read a lot of books in my lifetime. Some were so bad for me I wish I'd had a lighter right there to erase all traces of it from my shelves. Others were so good I constantly struggled with my selfishness to keep the story all to myself and not let anyone read it while at the same time wanting to have tons of people to discuss said good book with. Then came the gems. The epic books. The books that changed something in me every time I turned that last page and sigh a little contented sigh of happiness or sorrow or sadness or any feeling that happened to be evoked by the end...
