-review- Eleventh Grave In Moonlight by Darynda Jones

Image
- goodreads - (Spoiler Alert if you haven't read the previous books in the series) -"When Shawn went to you, a weak, corrupted slut––" "Slut?" "––we knew what we had to do." "I think slut is a tad strong." "See, you aren't just any corrupted. You are his corrupted. His concubine. The Dark One's. The demon from hell." "Promiscuous, maybe." She kneeled again. "We were never after you." "Wanton." "We were after the abomination..."- This book was so good... Until it wasn't... which was about the time it finished... Why would someone end a book in the way that this book ended is beyond me. I was happy! I was in my happy place with my happy ending if somewhat bittersweet but I WAS HAPPY! I was a happy person people!!!!!! And then Darynda just unceremoniously ripped out my heart, stomped on it, kicked it, and then proceeded to tear it apart... slowly... ...

- goodreads - ⚔️⛓ Nameless is my price ⛓⚔️ I finished EoS today at probably 2:00am(September 9th) and... I'm practically a shell walking, that book completely tore me apart. I'm not talking about heartbreak I'm talking about complete annihilation of a person by words. I kid you not, I haven't stopped thinking about the book for the entire day. It slips into my mind when I least expect it to so I feel a really bad book-hangover coming or a reading slump. Either way, I simply cannot cope, cannot deal, and I'm just so so so broken. That's it people. I have been broken by words yet again. As if Strange The Dreamer wasn't enough of a torture or Eleventh Grave In Moonlight (review coming soon!) with their endings now here comes Sarah J. Maas and just quite literally proceeded to kill me... in a way that I felt was exquisite at times when in reality it was just a distraction for that so awaited final blow. She didn't disappoint. Thanks for ...

-goodreads- (Spoiler Alert for those who haven't read the previous books in the series.) -"You're exactly the way I dreamed you'd be." I did NOT see that coming. How am I even supposed to write a review when I'm left so emotionally drained after everything that happened in this book? How can I be happy by the ending when I know for a fact that the worst has yet to pass. When will all this craziness end?! I'm completely terrified, scared, spooked because anything can happen ANYTHING. And I don't want anything bad to happen to ANYONE in that court or to the thirteen or to their mounts, I mean, Abraxos needs infinite life okay? -It did not seem like a weakness to fight for those who could not defend themselves. Even if they weren't true witches. Even if they meant nothing to her.- And what about that Manon thing at the end in Rifthold??! What?!?!?! I need a huge HUGE break right now. My head is pounding and my stomach is i...

-review- Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (ToG #3)

Image
- goodreads - (Spoiler Alert if you haven't read the previous books in the series) -He made her want to laugh and sing and shake the world with her voice.- She will not be afraid. Even after all this time, she says it. My heart breaking over and over didn't matter. My eyes tearing up didn't matter. My hands shaking didn't matter. Bawling my eyes out subsequently didn't matter. My rage didn't matter. All the magic, the badassery, the shifting, the endless training, the constant betrayals, the secret stolen glances, the discoveries, the incredible and absolute darkness that was the self loathing of Celaena. T-T -Abraxos was still lying on his belly, sniffing the wildflowers, when she returned with the dead goat in her arms, its blood now iced on her cloak and tunic. He'd devoured the goat in two bites, then gone back to enjoying the wildflowers. At least he'd eaten.- Nothing mattered because I am done. I am so done with thi...

Another excellent addition to the series guys! What am I going to do when it finishes?! - goodreads - “What other secrets are you hiding behind those sparkling eyes?" He grinned. “You have my heart. That’s where I hide all my secrets.” “Then I guess I don’t have the key.” “Are you kidding? You forged the key.” Could it be??? Could this really be one of my faves of the Charley-Reyes-Cookie saga?  Surely it can't but then... we did get A LOT OF REYES on this one and I'm all for that.  And can we address the elephant in the room right off the batt?? Like really, seriously. WHO OF YOU SAW THAT SIBLING THING COMING? Who in their right mind would've put two and two together. Math is definitely not my thing, just like Charley, proven by how I couldn't even add up those numbers.  And BEEP I saw you girl and I imagined you beautiful! Raise their hands all the ones rooting for a  spin off  for Beep and you-know-who (meeeeeeeeeee) ...

-review- Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Image
- goodreads - "She watched the squares of sunlight that her windows threw on the floor. They ought to have moved with the angle of the sun, but she was sure they were frozen in place. Of course today would be the day the sun got stuck in the sky. The gears of the heavens had gotten gummed up, and now it would be daytime forever." Wow you guys! WOW! Isn't it a dream come true? To be alive while Laini Taylor is and even more so that she's writing this in my time?Thank you God for this amazing thing. T.T I started this book really worried because I thought nothing could ever live up to Daughter of Smoke & Bone and all the things that said trilogy made me feel. I'm glad I was wrong. This book has Laini Taylor written all over it-from the astonishing and delicious writing to the incredible and epic world-building, from the names that sound perfect for the characters in the story to the adventure and magic it made me get lost in. ...
