BookPics is Curious- What's your take?

I'm a really cover-lover kind of person. If your book has an out-of-this-world kind of amazing cover, it is 99.9% true that somehow, someway, the book will end up in my shelves. -Remembering what my favorite genres are... always- I also am picky in a very special way. No, it doesn't mean that if the cover isn't good in the eyes I won't buy it. But it means that if I see similar covers repeatedly in a lot of different books by different authors I most likely be wary and then maybe, just maybe, just because of that... the possibilities of me buying the book will definitely be reduced... say like on a 60%... meaning... there's a 40% or less of a probability of me even trying to buy the book... DON'T take this the wrong way... I've read some AMAZING out-of-this-world, kind of books with really sad covers, sad meaning not good looking or attractive at all... So I'm NOT saying that if a book cover isn't good you don't have to buy that... I AM N

While showing her some I remember I saw Sarah Dessen's books and also remember having my little sister's headphones sitting right beside my laptop and I knew right there and then that I wanted to take a picture of them both! Meaning the book and the headphones. Anyway... this is what came up with, “There comes a time when the world gets quiet and the only thing left is your own heart. So you'd bet

Other than the fact that the font's color is a bit pale?? I still love it though, because it goes with the cover as a whole! I LOVE Kelley's YA books! LOVE THEM TO DEATH and their covers as well! It's amazing how beautiful and intriguing they can

This week I went to the bookstore and even though I ended up buying a couple of books I don't think I'll be

-reread thoughts- If I Die by Rachel Vincent

Image
Argh. Writing reviews and thoughts and stuff about my feelings for books while reading them is turning harder and harder... But I can't help and repeat once again, how amazing this book was/is. I've read this book more times than I care to admit. And still... My heart was broken earlier in the series BUT this book right here is the turning point for, let's just say. EVERYTHING. I can't believe how in the world author Rachel Vincent came up with a story so extraordinarily original. This book kept me guessing and guessing. I had such a hard time trying not to read the finishing lines... I won the battle. Barely. When I thought nothing worse could happen to Kay, it happened. When I thought her heart couldn't be any more broken, it was. When I thought the person who had sworn her-things-would keep-his/her-word, the person didn't. I thought and thought and thought about so many bad things happening but never in my wildest imaginations would I have gues

You're too strong. You'll fight it, just like you did this time." Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead -VA #3- I can't remember when I took the picture. But it was a trip I had to make because I was my grams and mom's driver :D  We went to this tourist place... they had a statue of some virgin there, but that's NOT what caught my attention. At all. What did completely amaze me, were ALL this plaques.

-review- Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown

Image
-"I want you to play with her. Be nice. Show her things. Let her have a good time. Keep her out past dinner."- Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown is one of those books that you pick up being all wary about them but...when read... You take a minute and wonder how in the clouds you ever doubted of reading it in the first place. When I started reading the book I had only vaguely read the description, as I'm not such a fan of that. But there HAD to be a reason for me to request it on NG right? Anyway. Calder White was all kinds of creepy, scary but managing to be vulnerable and cocky. I loved his character! Every interaction he had with his sisters gave me the creeps. And talking about his sisters... Why is it that every single time you let your guard down, is the one time that the enemy decides to strike? I've always wondered that. Maris was the one and only sister who managed to scare the pants out of me while also making me agree with her, even if she

I say this
