Can't Wait Wednesday #1

Image
Can't-Wait Wednesday  is a weekly meme by  Wishful Endings , to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they're books that have yet to be released. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday by  Breaking the Spine . Guys! This is my first one and I'm really trying here because I want this blog to go on so XD - Goodreads - (trying to post the description without spoilers here...) In the wake of tragedy, neither Lazlo nor Sarai are who they were before. One a god, the other a ghost, they struggle to grasp the new boundaries of their selves as dark-minded Minya holds them hostage, intent on vengeance against Weep. Lazlo faces an unthinkable choice--save the woman he loves, or  everyone else? --while Sarai feels more helpless than ever. But is she? Sometimes, only the direst need can teach us our own depths, and Sarai, the muse of nightmares, has not yet discovered what she's capable of...   ...

-review- Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

- goodreads - "Know that I loved you," she said to the Darkling. "Know that it was not enough." Wow.  That took a while... 20 days to be exact.  But I'm happy to announce it was worth sticking to it.  I got hit by a major reading slump in the middle of reading this so I had to take long long breaks...  Either way, while pretty predictable and kind of an anticlimactic ending I still enjoyed it. My favorite parts were definitely the 'Before' & 'After' additions that were in all three books in the trilogy.  They were perfect, introducing and then ending the story.  And the 'After' or was it 'Now' lol either way the last part was one of my favorites of the entire trilogy, it even made me cry which was something I thought this book wouldn't be able to... And you know me and my love for books making me cry, if I cry it means I loved the book so of COURSE that small little part of writing made up for all the slow...

-BookPics Is Curious- Traveling Books?

Image
So, I've been thinking. If you love, like, and can travel and are a booklover just like most of us, how do you pick which books are coming on the trip with you and which aren't. (Remember we're talking printed editions here since I know eBook readers are kind of on demand right now I still like to take with me one or 6 hehehe depending on the period of time I'm going to be away from home. Anyway, PRINTED books people ^_^ ) I'm a stinker for rereads. If there is one thing that keeps me from reading new books is the fact that I can't get over my book hangovers... Specially if it's a book that's the last in a series or if it's a standalone book or idk, I have tons of reasons why I read and read the same book over and over again and never get tired of it. So, if I love rereading books, how in the world am I expected to pick books to take with me for a long period of time away from home? Simple, I don't take them. Out of all the books t...
