-Blog Tour Stop, Review + Giveaway- Clayton Falls series by Alyssa Rose Ivy

My beautiful people!!!! I'm here to present you the first 2 reviews of the year!!!!
Welcome to my stop on the Clayton Falls blog tour!!

I know it has been a while since I've posted a review... But finally!!
And since there will be 2... I'll make them quick and short so you get to the point and check out these 2 books from the author!! :D
Here it goes!!

This is the first book in the series... When I started it I wasn't 100% sure in what the whole story was going to be based.
I knew there'd be a sad past, a dark present, and a bright future...
So, I got that.
It was absolutely a quick and fun read. I loved the male main character, I loved Molly's truthfulness to herself :D How she wasn't scared, at least not TOO much, of trying something new. Of throwing it all away just like that and try a clean start in somewhere old but at the same time new. And what better way to do that than at her hometown? Clayton Falls...

Can I just please say I how LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that the series is called after the town the book is set in?

Even though I was left wanting more, more development of the characters, more story to tell... More details more insight... IDK... I really was thirsty for this story and it kind of left me waiting for that big BOOM!! I was desperate for.
The writing was simple, easy to follow, and clean.
The settings were so real I didn't have any problem picturing them... And the plot while easy and predictable was still enjoyable.

Let us have a moment of appreciation for Molly's BFF!!
Also...
BECCA and GAVIN were my FAVORITE characters even if Becca wasn't a starring character... Trust me when I say... You'll be left BEGGING for the second book...
I am so freaking happy I got to read and review both... So without further ado I leave you with the rating of this book so I can continue my rambling afterwards on my review of Veer ;)

I give this book
3 = It was good!

AHHHHH!!!
First of all...
COVER FREAKING LOVE!!!!
Seriously, this cover is PERFECTION and it goes with the whole story!!
Now, before I start embarrassing myself yet again...
To my thoughts on this book.

I simply loved it!
There is no other thing I could say to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book... I couldn't put it down so... Less than a day and even after... I was left wanting more...
But not the more that comes when a book is missing something... In this case... I was left BEGGING the author to extend the story somehow so I could read more about Gavin, more about Becca... More about their lives and their friends' lives... I want to have the same friends that Becca made while on Clayton Falls... I wanted to get to know even more this Gavin that I now have declared a boyfriend of mine, just don't tell Becca.

Seriously though. The author's writing improved so much from the first book to its sequel that has left me with my mouth slightly ajar trying to comprehend HOW she did it in JUST 2 books...
But I'm left clueless as to why and amazed at how much I loved this story and cared for each and every character.
The setting again was palpable, the feelings ran deep, the writing flowed perfectly... I just don't have any complains other than WHY DID IT END SO SOON!!!

I really wish this book had been longer somehow... But the ending was perfect and left me wondering... Whose story will come next and what dark past will we discover?

Gavin was absolutely delicious!! As in. His character, how he grew up, how real he seemed, how much he made me feel in such a short time.

I care for this book, care for its characters and cannot cannot get enough of it!
Thanks to the author for writing this sequel that I INSTANTLY knew I'd love even before opening my kindle.

There are some really warm scenes :D as in... hot :D
And some so cute my toe nails curled :D

I give this book
5 = Clouds In The Heavens READ IT!

About the book
Veer (Clayton Falls, #s) Alyssa Rose Ivy -- November, 2012
*** Only when you let go can you learn to live.

Between the death of her mother and pushing through law school without her best friend, it's been a tough year for Becca. Needing a break from Boston, she moves to a tiny coastal North Carolina town for a relaxing summer. After bumping heads repeatedly with a local cop, she realizes her summer will be anything but quiet.

Three years after a career ending injury ruins his chance to play Major League Baseball, Gavin has a distrust of northerners and lately girls in general. He wants nothing to do with a girl who is only in town for the summer.

When the two give in to their impossible attraction, they realize that they may just have found the key to freeing themselves from the ghosts of their pasts. ***

Of course I couldn't leave without sharing my favorite passage!! ;)
I'll post it but won't tell you from which book I got it so... You'll have to read the books in order to find out!!

-"So you'd prefer someone lie to you rather than have them dash your confidence?" She clasped her hands and leaned forward.
"In some circumstances." I folded my arms across my chest. I was just itching for an argument.
"In some circumstances? Where do you draw the line?"
"There's value in making people happy." I didn't know what the hell I was saying. It didn't matter.
She tensed slightly. "Well, do me a favor: spare me the sympathy lies."
"I wasn't planning on buttering anything up for you, sweetheart. It wouldn't be worth the effort."

GASP! NO WAY! O_O He didn't just say that... Did he?!
