Cover Obsession #17

Cover Obsession is a feature here on BookPics.
-I really don't know if anyone else does it as I do but I'm not trying to steal any other ideas out there-
In which I tell you what new book covers I'm completely in love with, pinning for, drooling over, tearing-up over, going all OH CLOUD! on and all the other AMAZING-FANTASTIC-AWESOME-BOOKPIC-LY verbs and adjectives and adverbs you can think of that just simply aren't enough to describe how I feel towards said covers so,
I just go ahead and OBSESS over them :D
----------------------------------------

Guys, you know what the problem is when I go ahead and wait to have several covers to showcase here? That I think publishers gather their heads together in order to melt my heart and mind... Have you been near the internet lately?

Have you seen just how many covers have been released? How many redone? And the UK/US/AUS and sometimes some other internationals, covers that come out as well?

Well, there are tons and I think I've actually missed like 80% of all those in the last couple of weeks but what the clouds?! I'll just show you a bit of the whole thing... I'm obsessed with them all... But particularly with 3... I think...

Anyway... Welcome!! And let the obsessing start!!!!

----------------------------------------

This week... Ah... let's just get it over with...
~All tittles link back to their Goodreads page~

Born of Illusion by Teri Brown
This cover is too gorgeous. I want to hug it!

Arclight by Josin L. McQuein
This screams READ ME NOW!!!!!! Look at those colors!! AMAZING doesn't even begin to describe it!

Reboot by Amy Tintera
This cover couldn't be more intriguing even if it tried... I mean it... LOOK AT THAT BLURB!

Exalted by Ella James
Please, let us stare at the gorgeous lightning and the font and did I say the lightning *O*
It's not on goodreads nor amazon yet but I'll link you to the book when it does ;)

Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris
I'm not a fan of this cover but I AM fan of the male model on the right side of it. It's just... really... Plus I really like the color of the background contrasting with the font color. Love that!

Towering by Alex Flinn
Seriously? Do I even need to explain myself?

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood.
This is actually the paperback cover that will be printed... Don't you just LOVE the ravens? Plus the font they used for "The Cahill Witch Chronicles" is chilling ;)

Rush by Eve Silver
Okay, where do we start? The font? The way the tittle is divided? The color of the font? The way I like where the models are? The coloring again? I mean... WHAT about this cover doesn't draw you in?

Fractured by Teri Terry
I am loving this!!! How it goes with the first book's cover, how now it's red tinted. Now the look on the girl isn't as innocent but fiercer and stronger! I cannot wait to read the first book in order to get this one!!

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Let's imagine the movie, okay? This is the movie companion cover :D love it!

Elegy by Tara Hudson
I love love love that they haven't changed a thing about these covers!! This is book #3 and they still are going with the translucent thing. I am forever grateful and oh my clouds!!!! Look at that!!! AMAZING!

Goddess by Josephine Angelini
Out of her 3 books this is my favorite cover... Her pose... the clouds... the coloring... the wind effect... It's simply beautiful!

Now...
In the beginning of the post I told you I'm over-obsessing over 3 book covers. And when I mean over-obsessing, I mean. OVER-OBSESSING. LITERALLY!

First up-in no order of importance whatsoever-

Afterglow by Karsten Knight
-speechless-

The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa
-Paperback UK cover-
Oh my clouds! Heavens! Everything! Give me the strength to survive just how close this comes to the whole world author, Julie Kagawa, created... I can imagine him just like that... Oh god! ~hyperventilates~

Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins

~gasps for breath~
What can I even say?
Can I have him for dessert?
Better yet, can I have him as main course while Anna kills me with her stare?
Can I go inside this cover and let that amazing background envelope me even though I know it is definitely NO good news at all???
Please! Someone tell me what to do with myself!
I love this cover WAY more than the first one... specially her dress!!!! AH!!!!!!!!!

And, there you have it!
All my pretty obsessions!!
Any book covers you can't get enough of?

-A [Fikt] shun Week- The End (Cries)

Don't forget to enter the giveaway going on on THIS post.

Awwwwwwwwwwwww
Guys!!!!!!!!
This is the end!!!
I had so much fun having such an amazing event over here!! I never, in all my life, would have thought that all these people would agree and support this on my blog! This is definitely one of those things that I'll never NEVER forget!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to read and even more so everyone who commented here and there, if you didn't know about Fiktshun, I hope you do now!

Also, I really want to thank each and every single one of the guests that I had here. From bloggers; Jaime, Mindy, Maricar, Ina, Ashley: my neighbor Ana, and authors Samantha Young and M.R. Merrick...but wait...

There are 2 more people I must thank!!!
First is the one and only...
Rachel @ Fiktshun. I didn't know how she would react to this so I'm grateful that I'm still standing and in one piece... That's got to count for something right?
Rachelita!! I hope you had fun and enjoyed! And really really hope you got to see that you are, in fact, an amazing blogger, one with talent and who we all appreciate and love, specially me.
You're out of this world generous and while I really don't think you'll ever understand completely the whys' and the hows' of our appreciation and addiction to you and your blogs, at least you got a little sneak peek at our minds and what we all think of you and your sites.

I know I can only speak for myself but after reading all the posts this week... Can't you... um... SEE?

Thanks for being who you are and for running a blog that has meant to me a lot, giving me not just things to think about with one of your features but also making me cry or laugh completely out loud without taking into consideration the places or situations all around me, thanks for giving more than is, in my opinion, legal. And thank you for loving books and reading so much.

I think me and my reading and my shelves AND my blog owe you a lot... But maybe this was a good start?
Thank you thank you thank you... And yeap... Thanks for that last read that you got for me, that even now-whenever I remember-brings me to tears because of WHEN you got it for me... My heart will definitely never EVER in all the life I have yet to live, forget.

So... after such an awkward and embarrassing ending-rambling...

I have to present the last person to whom I owe some thanks... But first, let's see what that person did so I can actually write my gratefulness thing at the end...

Welcome,
Author

Rachel Vincent
-cue my heart attack and my near death breathing-

***Rachel (Fiktshun) and her blogs are a wonderful model of what book blogging can be. She is well-read, well-spoken, well-organized, and dedicated to book blogging. She is conscientious and detail-oriented. She is contemplative, which I particularly appreciate.

Rachel values every aspect of the books she reads, from the characters and relationships to the language itself. She is respectful of and respected by the blogging community, and most of all, she is enthusiastic about both books and reading. In fact, her enthusiasm is infectious, for which I am thankful, as both a reader and an author.

Beyond all of that, I see in Rachel many qualities that aren’t required of a blogger, but are valued both in blogging and in life. Rachel is friendly. She is even-headed. She is generous with both her time and her resources. And she maintains an approachable, yet professional standard online, which I personally admire, and both publishers and authors—as well as her fellow bloggers, I suspect—have come to greatly value.

Thank you, Rachel! The book blogging community would not be the same without you!***

[Okay okay okay okay okay...

Just hold up a minute...

I swear with every fiber of my being... This just doesn't happen in real life... Sure I've stalked her for more time than I care to admit... And every single time I comment on her blog... it takes me like 10 times the normal to even write something coherent enough to submit into that tiny box that's called 'The comments section' so excuse me ladies and gentleman if I freak out and cry and sob and die because of who is here, right here, right now...
T_____________________________T
I even forgot everything I had prepared to say... I promise... I had rehearsed a really respectful and professional thank you to this author... But I look up to her so freaking much I am 100% sure it's impossible for me not to ramble and make my fingers fly on the keyboard just to get every single emotion that I'm feeling out here...
THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART RACHEL V.
And, I have to say-deep breaths deep breaths- I agree wholeheartedly with you. The blogosphere wouldn't be the same without Rachel @ Fiktshun. Not at all.]

Now, everyone, if you'll excuse me... I'll have to go and find a pillow to cry on... I'm THIS near to burst from happiness...

-A [Fikt] shun Week- Day #5

Don't forget to enter the giveaway going on on THIS post.

Friday!!!!!!!!!
Wow!! Seems like the week just flew by!!
I'm sad to announce 2 things...
First, I'm sick T_T BUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Second, I cannot believe 'A Fiktshun Week' is almost over you guys!!!!!
I hope everyone's having fun!! And continues to as the week is almost but not over just yet!!

Today... I, for the love of the clouds, cannot believe who I managed to reach out to and contact and practically... I can't remember much of the emailing that went on, because seriously...

She's one of the bloggers who, along with Fiktshun, Mindy, Jaime, Jean, Giselle, Momo and so many more, is definitely WAY out of my league.
I'm a silent stalker of hers... So far I haven't managed to comment frequently on her blog... I feel like it's too shiny and full of awesome to get spammed with my never-ending comments!

Excuse me if I'm rambling but I seriously seriously cannot believe who's going to join me and my Fiktshun love fest right this moment.

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by girl!
Now, mi casa es su casa ;)

Welcome,

***Ooooh!! How much do I adore Rachel @ Fiktshun???? Let me count the ways!

I can't remember exactly how I first "met" Rachel... But when I VERY first started blogging and I stumbled upon her blog, I remember thinking, "OMG! This. Is. Awesome." I only HOPED my blog could ever be as amazing as hers was!

I was so nervous, that I literally stalked her blog for months (yes... MONTHS) before I actually had the nerve to comment! I mean, she's a rockstar blogger and I was this newbie just "pretending" to have any clue as to what I was actually doing!

Now, I'm lucky enough to call Rachel one of my best blogging friends!

Fiktshun is SO freaking amazing! She's one of the most generous, sweet and nicest chicks that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing! And she continues to be an inspiration to me to this day! Her reviews are always full of AWESOME and she comes up with the best features and events EVER!

Bloggers like Rachel are the reason I keep blogging and she always reminds me of why I love it so much!

Rachel is so freaking generous and simply amazing!! She is definitely an inspiration... even if she won't accept it or won't take the compliment... She definitely is!]

-A [Fikt] shun Week- Day #4

Well, would you look at that!! Author M.R. Merrick definitely did justice at showing us why he thinks Rachel @ Fiktshun rocks!!!
Once again I thank him for being so nice and accepting the invitation to be a part of this!!!!

Don't forget to enter the giveaway going on on THIS post.

Moving on...

Today we have 2 amazing bloggers on the blog, both I met via Fiktshun though in one case... I was already following her when I figured out that she was the same who left comments on Rachel's site... of course it was kind of embarrassing figuring out that the one blog you silently stalked belong to one of the commenters on Rachel's blog without you knowing it...
Anyway.

First up!
Welcome to the blog

Maricar
from

Blackplume

Maricar! Welcome to the blog!
[Fun fact, Maricar's site-Blackplume-was actually the first site on which I was interviewed! It was fun and a bit intimidating :D]
Anyway.
She's here to share with us why she thinks Rachel's Fiktshun + some more sites... Rock!!

***We all know that Rachel got a lot followers not only on her so many blogs but also on her other online accounts. With so many followers I am not sure if I am qualified to give a message about her. I'm not her number one stalker (I can't beat Alba on that position and I am more a silent stalker) but I think it is safe to say that I can be counted as one of Rachel's loyal followers.

When I first stumbled on Rachel's blog, Fiktshun two years ago, it wasn't that known yet to blogosphere and I was not that active as well as a book blogger at that time. I rarely comment on any blogs or join any online discussions. But eventually I've learned to participate in the online community through her blog. Because of Fikshun, I've met great bloggers and fellow book lovers online, one of them is the lovely owner of BookPicks, Alba. Fiktshun is the site where we constantly discuss books and other book related topics. It is like our meeting place or our common grounds, then the're also Fiktshun's Facebook page and of course twitter.

[BP: Awwwe, you didn't! >____< BLUSH! Yo're a great blogger and book lover as well Maricar!]

One of the things I like about Rachel is how honest and straightforward she is. She's never ashamed of writing her thoughts, may it be for a book, a person or just simply ramblings her feelings. It is also a known fact to everyone how generous she is, but more than her giving nature, Rachel is simply helpful and supportive. Every time I got questions about blogging, copyright issues or anything in general she never failed to answer all my queries with the best of her knowledge. I really appreciate all the efforts and time she gave me everytime I bug her online. Sometimes I feel guilty asking her more because I know how busy she is with all her blogs, personal life and other activities she engages herself into. Not to mention that she and I live on different time zones of the earth, which makes it possible that I may be totally disturbing her during wee hours. But still she entertains all my queries and request. I am really thankful and grateful to her.

Rachel's passion in writing and reading simply amazes me. I've met a lot of passionate readers but I never met someone like Rachel who give all her time, knowledge and effort for the love of books. Those so many book blogs she's running are proofs of how dedicated she is as a blogger, reader and writer. Up until now I still don't know how she can manage all those sites together with her other online accounts. I don't think I can ever do all those things she's doing. Even if I don't sleep I still can't do it for sure, with that I salute Rachel for her hard work and dedication.
And because of her hard work and dedication, Rachel has become an inspiration to me. She's the push that I need every time I feel slacking in blogging. By simply thinking she can write creative posts on all her blogs at least once a week, I feel I can write one too on my own. I really admire her works. She is creative, articulate and honest in writing her reviews and thoughts. As I said to her before, I love reading her works, especially the "Random Thoughts" in her blog. That is my favorite feature of Fiktshun. Reading those post don't just give me peaks about her topics but also her personal views which make it easy to feel connected to her not just as a blogger but also as a person. Obviously, she is sharing not just her talents but also part of her personal life.

She may not know it nor accept it, but she contributes so much in this book blogging community. I for myself wouldn't be an active book blogger without her help. I hope she never gets tired of doing what she is doing. She's one of the best book bloggers I know, no online bullies and online dramas can change that! She is truly amazing and inspiring.***

[Stands up, applauds.
Girl I think you couldn't have said it better!]

Thanks so much for doing this girl!
I appreciate it and I know Rachel will too, when she reads it.

Now...
I have a really really special guest coming next...
Not only because I stalk her blog regularly or because I love her or because she is an amazing person...Nope...
But because she is so freaking nice it's not even funny!!
I am forever grateful that Rachel's site made me realize she was the same person whose blog I had been following for a while... I cannot even tell you how special this guest is to me...

¬_____________¬

Beware... she's one of my BookAngels so... tread carefully when it comes to her... Enough said.

Okay, now to the good part!
~evil laugh~ Yey!!! Here Rachel... :D Enjoy!
I'm completely pleased to welcome to the blog,

Mindy
From
Magical Urban Fantasy Reads

Work your magic girl!
And again... Thanks so much!!

***Hey y'all! It's Mindy with Magical Urban Fantasy Reads. I’ve recently come up with a new theory. I now believe that Rachel from Fiktshun has some pretty awesome super powers. I wish I knew what kind of mythical creature she is, because if getting bit or scratched by her is the way for me to become whatever super powered species she is…I think I just might become a crazy BDB stalker. Ewwww! Gross!!! OK…maybe not BDB…but I think she might try to fight me, which would then lead to her biting and/or scratching me. Bwahahahaha! But her super powers are nothing like any mythical creature I’ve ever heard of. She has to be some type of hybrid, or she is her own awesome mythical species. Too bad she’s openly confessed that she has no intensions of procreating because the world would be a better, more awesome world if we had more little Rachels.

Do you want to know why I think Rachel has super powers? On more than several occasions she has popped up, out of nowhere, and has done something super-powered-special for me when I least expected it. But the thing that is most ominous…is that she always does it when I’m in a funk or having a really bad day, week or crappy month. And pretty much every single time, she has been able to pull me out of this funk. It’s like she was telepathically aware that I was in need, and she knew exactly what I needed!

Did you know that she also has a job that takes many, many, many hours of her life and she is still able to successfully run more than a few totally awesome blogs? Here are a few of her awesome blogs I follow: Fiktshun, Fiktshun's Ramblings, Fiktshun After Dark, Blogger's Corner, My Reading Pile and Co-Owner of Rockstar Book Tours. Does she even sleep? How does she have time to read? SUPER POWERS I tell you!

I’m sure that everyone reading this is fully aware of whom Rachel from Fiktshun is, but if you don’t, you are missing out and you need to get to know her and her super powers ASAP!***

Photobucket

[Mindy, one word, SLEEPLESS! Seriously, every single time I mention sleep is like Rachel doesn't even know what the word means! T___________T Then came the move... I think the one thing I'm definitely thankful for is that she's getting more Zzzz's and that definitely is a plus.
And can I just say... OH MY GOD!! I love this post! You're so completely right! Let's do some research in your theory! I'm completely all over that!! Also!! X________X TRUE TRUE TRUE! She has this way of knowing just when to come out of nowhere and BOOM. I remember each and every single time she has done it for me and each and every single time I cry... Specially the last time... I was bawling so hard I had to get off the internet and take a break... It was THAT bad... :') So I definitely know what that feels like!
Thanks so much for taking your time Mindy! It means THE WORLD to me!]

Until tomorrow!!!!

-A [Fikt] shun Week- Day #3 + Giveaway

Oh my!!! See?? Everyone loves you Rachel!!!

Welcome to our third day of sharing our love and appreciation for blogger Rachel @ Fiktshun!
I'm having fun and I'm really really happy that you guys decided to take a chance and take part in on this!

Today I have one very special guest!
He's an author, one whose first book I finished just the other day. An author who, by all purposes managed to break my heart into a million pieces in matter of seconds simply with his writing!

You see, if it weren't for Rachel I wouldn't have taken a chance on this author but I'm so very very glad she reviewed his book and dove right into his second one.
I loved Rachel's review of the first book. She has a way with words and if I am not witness enough...
Let's do this author corroborate what we all already know right?

Welcome to the blog!

Author, M.R.Merrick!

You can find him on his,
Website
Twitter
Facebook

In case you don't know him, he's the author of  "The Protector" series-one I'm enjoying just right now and in which book tour I'll be participating in the future ;)-

***Every once in a while you stumble across someone who you are dying to get to know, even if the reasoning behind the urge eludes you. There’s something in them that just draws you in. Such was the case for me with Rachel from Fiktshun. I stumbled across her blog, and after my first visit there, I knew I had to learn more about her. I was hooked.

It started out with a minor obsession over her website. She takes such pride in it and it shows, but it wasn't only the appearance of the blog that drew me in, or the content, it was the voice. I've talked about this on my own website. Her writing has such a beautiful rhythmic design that I can’t get enough of.

After I found her blog, I sought out her writing more and more, until finally I managed to work up the courage to reach out to her. I had such respect for this person and I’d never spoken to them. I will admit I was nervous. Her writing had both captivated and intimidated me. But, after spending some time talking with her over social media, I learned that she was more than just captivating words; there was an incredible person behind them.

Rachel is one of those people that has that spark, and it comes through in all of the things she does. Her contribution to The Authors Are Rockstars Tour is a perfect example, as is her blog. She invests herself into a project and you can feel the passion she puts into it.

Rachel has been a pillar of support for me in so many ways, and for someone who works a full-time job, and is so committed to sharing her passion of books over multiple blogging platforms (which is a second full-time job sometimes), Rachel has shared something even importance with me: her time.

In a lot of ways, Rachel is inspirational, even though she doesn't realize it. I read what she writes and I strive to improve. To be able to infuse passion in my words that evoke emotions, like hers do with me. I’m forever thankful for everything she’s done for me, and I feel absolutely honored to have been given the chance to know her.***

[-Gasps- I don't even know what to say... I... Just... Thank you so much for agreeing to this... T_T ]

-A [Fikt] shun Week- Day #2

Oh boy!
Second day and still more to go!

Hope you're getting the hang of things!

Welcome, Welcome... <- sorry, too much The Hunger Games...
Where was I?
Yeap, Fiktshun.

Welcome to the second day on 'A [Fikt] shun Week' love fest!!

I cannot believe I had both Jaime and Samantha on yesterday's post! And to think we'll continue today!

This lovely tuesday and to follow up some of my curious trains of thought I invited to the blog, the one who is responsible of me and my stalking Rachel's blog.

If it weren't for this person and her comments on facebook, I might have never found out about Fiktshun, I would have never gotten to know this completely otherworldly person... HEAD ON THE GAME ALBA!

Enough of my silly introductions.
She's not a blogger nor an author BUT a FOLLOWER/READER. One I appreciate and care about and to whom I'll be forever thankful!
She also guest reviews from time to time on Rachel's site so some of you might already know her!

Rachel, if you ever have any complaints about me and my stalking you... You're welcome to thank this person for it :D

Neighbor! The blog is all yours!

Ana Lucía

***When Alba asked me to take part of her week dedicated to my favorite blog, Fiktshun, my first thought was “Heck yes!” and then when things got real I started to panic. Rachel is this awesome blogger I totally look up to so I’m a little nervous.

Fiktshun was the very first blog I started following 2 years ago. All I knew were Facebook fan pages dedicated to books but blogs, she was the first one. And perfect moment because she was starting her blog, less than 10 followers so I’m one of the proud initial members.

Why I think she is such a great blogger?

Well, basically because she rocks! But a more elaborate answer, because she is so professional with everything she does. From writing the most amazing reviews I've ever read and thoughtful posts about several topics to sharing all her love and passion for books with all her followers and readers. She is so super nice and friendly and took a chance on me to be a guest reviewer on her blog, with my amateur and not so great reviews, a complete random girl and to my joy and fangirl she said, yes! In the most friendly and professional manner of course and she gave me some additional information, always so helpful. That simple gesture has helped me so much to improve my English, which if you know me at all, know that I can barely talk/write in English. And for that I’m forever grateful. I wish I could write more than just a couple of reviews a year for her blog.

[NO way! Neighbor, your english is good!!! ^_^]

I think she is one of the most influential bloggers out there, even when she doesn't like to admit it or take the compliments. After two years of blogging she has earned the respect and love from everyone around, authors, bloggers and simple readers like myself. And she is the most giving person I know, never expecting anything in return. And always so helpful! Even if she has like a million things to do and never sleeps she is always willing to help If she can, I admire that about her. You can easily find a friend in her, which is not something that easy to find. (Ha! See? I play with words). She is the whole package for an excellent and successful blogger if you ask me.

But with everything I said before, you know why I think she is the greatest?
Because she always, ALWAYS includes her readers in everything and treat them just like she is with her blogger friends, it’s all the same if I have a blog or not she is always nice and friendly, she doesn't care about that. I appreciate that more than she knows.

So Rachel, I heart you very much and hope you are still here in the blogging community for more years to come and thank you for everything. You rock!***

[Gracias vecina!! Thanks neighbor for agreeing to this! I absolutely love this!
I know right? She won't ever take compliments hahaha well, she'll just have to... you know ;)]

Of course now I have another guest...
Now, when I met this person she hadn't started her blog, we simply had fun stalking commenting on Rachel's site and remained on a constant tortured state that had nothing to do with pain and everything to do with book crushes!

Then she started her blog!
Now she's here to share with us and to agree with my point, Rachel ROCKS!

Welcome to the blog,

Ina
From
Smiling_Ina's Bookish Corner

You can stalk Ina on her,

Off you go and do your thing Ina <3333

***Before I start gushing over Rachel and all her amazing blogs, I just want to say a massive thank you to Alba for hosting this incredible event. You rock, girl! :)

I first discovered Rachel's blog Fiktshun about a year and a half ago. Until then I hadn't even known book blogs existed, let alone knew what they were all about. Hers was the very first blog I started following on a regular basis, and to this day it is the only one I check every single day. Even though I don't always leave comments, I'm always silently stalking. I truly respect her and all the hard work she does. If she says a book is worth reading, I believe her and try to check it out asap. At least half of the books on my TBR pile are there because of her.

She is such a generous and caring person. If she loves a book, there is no telling what she will do to torture and tease you until you “give in” and read the book yourself.

Rachel is also the reason I started blogging. If it wasn't for her, I would never have even thought about doing it. She has helped me more than once with a post or coding or anything else you could possibly think about. Even if she is crazy busy in real life, she still finds the time to help you out. I know I have had times where I wouldn't have known what to do without her advice and encouragement.

She is, by far, my most favorite blogger ever. She is extremely passionate about books and their authors and blogging in general. Honestly, I don't know anyone else who could successfully juggle that many blogs AND start up a wicked book tour service.

Thank you, Rachel, for everything you do for this community.

Thank you for introducing me to some of the best series out there – whether it's the Escape from Furnace series by Alexander Gordon Smith or The Touch Trilogy by Leah Clifford, to only name a couple. You know your books and you know what other readers love. It is thanks to you that I have found my one and only fictional crush – Tod Hudson. Without you, I would have never known about him and Kaylee and about a place called the Netherworld.

Thank you for spreading the word and supporting so many amazing authors, and for giving so much of your time and yourself while doing so. The book blogging world would not be the same without you, Rachel.
You are a true ROCKSTAR!!!***

Well girls, you definitely definitely nailed it!
I have to admit even I couldn't have said it any better... Maybe. hehehehe
And it must be such an honor to guest review on her blog, right vecina?

That's it for this second day!

Got to know a bit more about Rachel aka Fiktshun today?
See I'm not alone in my admiring her?

-A [Fikt] shun Week- Day #1

Woohooo!
We're starting you guys!
As I said yesterday on THIS post, this week is

A [Fikt] shun Week!
[Also! Ina from Smiling_ina's Bookish Corner made the button slightly smaller so if anyone wants to grab it it's on the sidebar!]

So if you're just joining us, do not worry!! You're just in time and right on schedule.

Today on the blog we have 2 amazing people, they will both be sharing a little bit about why they think Rachel rocks or telling us how they met, or you know just simply going along with the love fest that this week is! One's a blogger/multitasker and the other one is an author.

I 'met'/'got to know about them' thanks to Rachel! Either by reading her torturous reviews of one of the guest's books or catching some of their talk on twitter with the other one.

First up, because I thought to myself, "What better way to start all this than with a person who, I'm sure, loves Rachel as much as I do <-NOT POSSIBLE." And also, because well, she's the first one I approached when I first thought of doing this event, is:

Jaime
From
Two Chicks On Books!

You can catch Jaime on,

Oh famous Blogger Jaime! Thanks so much for joining us!!
Why is it you think the subject in question is sooooooo amazing! ~winkwink~

Why my BFF Rachel from Fiktshun is amazeballs.

***It’s really hard to pinpoint when Rachel and I figured out we were meant to be friends (more like long lost sisters). We just started talking on twitter one day and, two years later here we are! I don’t know what I’d do if she wasn’t in my life!

She is my sounding board for every crazy idea I’ve had and I literally go a little nuts when we haven’t talked in a few days. Her recent move? I’ll admit I did get more reading done late at night but I still missed our conversations.

And just let me tell you she is one of the most giving people I know! I have so many awesome gifts from her and she never expects anything in return which I ignore since I send her stuff too lol.

We just decided to go into partnership with Rockstar Book Tours and I have no stress like I did with previous people that I have worked with. Rachel and I complement each other so much she is the yin to my yang or as she would say I’m mellow to her uptight lol. I think that’s why we work so well! I heart you BFF!!!!!!***

[Oh wow!! See? I'm not the only one who thinks you rock Rachel!!
Jaime!! Thanks again for participating!!! Million, million thanks!! <3333]

Up next is the amazing author I was talking about earlier...
You see...

If it weren't for Rachel I wouldn't have met the only Jin who will forever own my heart... Starting to guess who this is?
Well, if you still haven't figured it out just yet, let me fill you in ;)

You can find her on,
Her Website
Twitter
Facebook

Still clueless? Okay... here->

That is completely right!
We have royalty in the house people!

Beautiful author Samantha Young is also sharing the Fiktshun love this monday!
The stage is yours Samantha!! <3

***When an indie writer first starts out, the world of publishing can seem like a pretty cold and lonely place. It’s difficult to get your stories out to readers and reviewers without the backing of a traditional publisher. For some of us, we’ve been lucky enough to meet people like Rachel at Fiktshun.

Rachel’s passion for books is evident in everything she does as a blogger. If the story intrigues Rachel, she’ll take a chance on it, whether it was traditionally published or not. No one appreciates that more than an indie, and I am a writer that appreciates all Rachel has done to help bring my books to more readers. Her reviews are always beautifully written, thoughtful and articulate. But more than being an awesome reviewer, Rachel is just an incredibly kind and generous person and blogger. I’ve never met anyone more eager to share her love for books with others, hosting her own giveaways, gifting kindle books, mailing arcs across the other side of the world so a reader (me!) can discover what was so incredible about the book she loved.

Rachel, you are what book blogging is all about. And we hardworking authors and voracious readers appreciate all you do!***

[Awwwweeeeeeeeeeeee I love it!! Thanks for agreeing to this, specially when I told you about it on such a short notice Samantha!!! Thanks thanks thanks!!! <3333]

Well, that's it for today!!
Hope you got to know a bit more about who this BookAngel aka Fiktshun aka Torturer, Rachel is!!
Stay tuned and come back tomorrow for more surprise guests!!!
Also...keep on the lookout for the secret giveaway! One might never know when it happens!!

BookPics is Curious -Amazing Blogger, Rachel @ Fiktshun-

In case you didn't get a chance to read my Apology post HERE it is.
But mostly I just said I'm crying over the fact of not having enough free time to do my usual blog-clears throat-Fiktshun-stalking and writing reviews and posts.

I think this post might make a bit more sense if you read that other one.
Consider this a continuation?

But as I said on that post, I miss being here and interacting on the blogosphere... I'm desperate to get done with all these errands and stuff to get my heart rate back to normal and to get my blog-stalking fix schedule right to how it was before... Because I'm freaking out ¬_¬ SHOCK!

The one blog I'm seriously having panic attacks over is Fiktshun.

It's no news that I love Rachel's site. No surprise in the fact that I look up to her the most.
And today, I found myself in a really rare moment of rest? I don't know, I just know I'm at home, early, with spare time to write posts, do some blog stalking and just let myself get lost in the book/reading/writing thing. You know what else? I'm stalking and commenting/spamming Fiktshun's!!!!

And doing my rounds on facebook, I stumbled upon a shared link.

http://www.rockstarbooktours.com/2012/10/welcome-to-rockstar-book-tours_19.html

That link will lead you to the site to which this button belongs to.

I don't think I ever saw this coming. Not after some twitter convos I had what feels like a lifetime ago while in reality were just last August.

The site is run by 2 of my favorites, don't worry we're going back to F in a bit.
Jaime from Two Chicks on Books & Rachel from Fiktshun.

I am rendered, once again, speechless.

I don't know who came up with the idea and I seriously don't think that matters. Because that site is completely awesome and I recommend you, specially authors, to check it out.

What I still can't get over... Is the fact that Rachel's in there.

I think it's safe to say I've been following and then stalking her for well, all my blogger lifetime, and she never NEVER ceases to amaze me.
It's like she's some kind of super-blogger-woman or something.

I mean, sure, if she were to read this... She'd be all like.
"-_-. Alba, there are some WAY bigger bloggers and some REALLY awesome bloggers out there. I'm not awesome nor big..." [-blush-That was SUCH a bad impersonation by the way.] Blah, blah blah... She never has taken my compliments without any way to change the subject to anything/anyone but her.

Still, she is amazing with her followers, a complete torturer when she can-which is almost always I start talking books with her-a completely happy person, she always stands up for what she thinks is right, she doesn't like drama, she writes the most awesome reviews ever! I mean, seriously have you read her most recent one? I never wanted to read BREATHE more than after I finished reading her review!~clears throat~

Where was I? Oh yeap. So you see? She has one of the most coolest blog<- I almost never use that word but since my english is failing me I really ask for forgiveness.

I could go on and on and on...Like how she runs more sites that I can count... How she interrogates not interviews but actually interrogates authors/characters/bloggers and I enjoy every second of it! Or how she simply gives too much for her own good. How she's too good to me when all I really do is spam her comments section and maybe even scare people/her followers away with my embarrassments and stuff...

And how she is not only an extremely good blogger but also a really special person to me, even if she doesn't notice, sometimes she says just the kind of thing to cheer someone up! And I thank her for that. She also is the one responsible for the creation of my 'BookAngels' tittle and she encouraged me to participate in on some blog tours when I had pretty much just given up on the whole thing!

She also is the reason I have 'met' so many other bloggers and bookish people out there! Like her blogger friends...
I think I've come to think of them as some sort of blogger royalty.
What with Jaime and Mindy and Kristina and Ashley, Avery... and so many more!

But, back to the point.

Fiktshun is simply amazing. And I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that...

...

Then I thought to myself... Why not let her know just how amazing she is by some sort of event. One in which I wouldn't be alone rambling and rambling about how much I love her-seriously I think even I know my limits, maybe?-but others as well.

Here is where the tricky part came. I'm NOT an open person, on the contrary I'm so shy it literally affects my life, every single day but this is Rachel we are talking about, obviously, that meant I had to break through some of my weirdest and worst fears in order to make this happen.

I started to contact people-shivers-people I would hardly ask anything of, people I stalk-silently-and people who I admire so much I was literally sweating and shaking by the time I had managed something resembling a request to send as an email.

To make this long post a bit less tiring, let me just tell you. I cannot believed what happened next.

So here I am, starting this Rachel/Fiktshun Appreciation Week! Which I called, because I'm NOT the most creative person out there...

TADA!!!!

It'll be from Monday, October 22nd to Friday, October 26th, with me doing a wrap up post Saturday, October 27th.
We'll have surprises all the days!! Maybe a guest post? Who knows! But if you're curious enough, feel free to stalk the blog all the week! You NEVER know who could drop by!! Also there will be a secret giveaway.

And well, I just hope you enjoy!
And if you still haven't visited her blog or didn't know she existed. This'll be your opportunity to get to do so and get to know one of the most talented, amazing, torturer, teaser, >.< , Luke lover person in the whole universe!!

Also, she has her 2nd, as in SECOND, TWO, DOS, DUE! Blogoversary coming this November!!
I'm so excited for her and I am a PROUD follower and self-declared #1Satalker of hers!
If you didn't know, be prepared for one cloud of a celebration!

I think I've rambled enough.
Remember this is just the kickoff post...

You're welcome to join us in the comments section and share the love ;)

I hope you too enjoy Rachel, as this comes from my very fan/book lover/comment spammer/#1stalker of yours... And then some...
